The fairy walk will take place along the one mile stretch of the blue trail between the Bath House and the Rustic Bridge. The entrance is just past the Bath House behind 76 Dutcher Street, Hopedale, MA. This is not a loop so keep in mind that it's one mile in and one mile back. It really doesn't seem like much when you're in the fun of it but we've got plenty of resting spots, activities, vendors and snacks along the way for you! Bring your camera, the scenery is amazing!
***FREE ADMISSION - FREE PARKING - FREE SHUTTLE BUS FROM PARKING*** (We highly suggest using our parking lots and avoiding street parking)
Look for parking signs to direct you to our two free lots.

****You just have to send in your application/payment--your houses still don't need to be ready until the day before the event. It just helps us tremendously to take care of paperwork early.****
We can email you one if you ask at: info@friendsofhistorichopedale.com **applications will be available at the end of 2020.
NEW FOR 2020:
We are offering a "place your own" choice this year for fairy house builders. We know a lot of you love your creations and like them displayed a certain way. You place your own fairy house on the trail in a spot designated by us. Houses must be in place by 9:30am and left until 4pm. Can't stay until 4? That's ok, we'll still pick it up for you at the end of the day. Designated spots (think of it like it's your fairy house's address) are given out in the order that we receive the applications. Meaning the sooner you send in your application, the closer to the front your spot will be, etc.
There will still be an option for us to place your house for you. See size restrictions below.
That's OK! We're still accepting fairy house applications until June 1, 2021! Your house still doesn't have to be ready for drop off until June 12, 2021!
Place your own houses will need to be in place by 9:30am on June 12, 2021.
If we're placing your house, it should be dropped off at the Bath House on June 11, 2021.
Specific drop off instructions will be emailed to you the week before the event
Place your own houses should be no larger than 3' x 3'.
If we're placing your house, they should be no larger than 2' x 2'.
Yes! The majority of the trail is hard packed dirt. You will come across some roots and rocks but many visitors used strollers and wagons last year without too much trouble. Keep in mind that the trail is one mile long, but it is not a loop...so that's another mile out. There is plenty to stop and see though and we promise it goes by fast! There are potties along the trail, lots of places to rest and snacks!
