The 13th Annual Hopedale Winter Stroll will be held on Saturday, December 7th in downtown Hopedale, MA. The Shop Hop was a popular addition to the event, and we will continue it this year to include any Hopedale businesses & organizations that would like to take part but are not located downtown. The stroll takes place at many stops along Hopedale Street and Dutcher Street including many historic buildings such as the Draper Gym, Hopedale Community House, Bancroft Memorial Library, Hopedale Unitarian Church, Union Evangelical Church and the Little Red Shop Museum. Our Shop Hop list will also include stops all over Hopedale for you to visit, shop, eat and enjoy! Multiple vendor locations will showcase work from local vintage vendors, hand makers, artisans, food vendors and mobile shops. Many businesses will take part in the Stroll and Shop Hop with special offers for customers. Past years have included performers setup along the route like live music at the park, costumed characters, outdoor movies and carolers roaming the route while our guests stroll from stop. All of this ending in the long standing and popular town tradition of the tree lighting and Santa visit at the Hopedale Community House. The 13th annual Hopedale Winter Stroll will take place on December 7, 2024. Held in conjunction with the Community House Tree Lighting Festivities, the stroll takes place at several stops along Hopedale and Dutcher streets from noon – 7pm. NOT DOWNTOWN? We are continuing to include a Shop Hop to the Stroll so that any Hopedale business or organization can participate! There are several ways you can participate in this popular town tradition; we’ve listed them below. Choose one or more and let us know by October 18th!
1. Be a participating Stroll or Shop Hop Stop – Stroll stops are businesses or organizations that are along the route of the stroll (Hopedale & Dutcher streets plus any cross streets, between the Rt 16 intersection and the Little Red Shop Museum). Shop Hop Stops are any business or organization located in Hopedale. Tell us if you’ll be open during the stroll hours & if you’ll have entertainment (no Santas, there is one at the HCH) or if you’d like to offer a special on products/services. We’ll list you on our event map and on our popular Facebook event page. If there are several businesses in a plaza participating, we will add you as a shuttle bus stop. Let us know by October 18th to be listed on the event map. COST to You? Nothing, but if you have something to donate to our raffle table, that will help with advertising costs.
2. Be a stop on the Cocoa Crawl (4 – 6pm) – the cocoa crawl was added as a way to get strollers to stop in to all the stops along the route. It is very popular and we sell out of all of our mugs each time! Crawlers will buy their mug/ballot from the FoHH, then visit all stops and cast their vote for their favorite cocoa. Bragging rights and a cool trophy for the best cocoa! (see cocoa crawl flyer below for details). Let us know by October 18th to be listed on the ballot.
3. Be a sponsor – we could not put on these awesome events without our sponsors! The FoHH is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to historic preservation, charitable giving, and community philanthropic & educational purposes. We rely on sponsors to help us host the best events for our community! Sponsors can be from any town. Please see the sponsor opportunities flyer above for more information. Let us know by October 18th to take advantage of sponsor benefits
4. Come to the event – support small & local businesses. We’d love to see you!
